May 2021 Newsletter

Hello TapTop community!  First off, congratulations to those of you who recently received your TapTop! Woohoo!! It’s incredibly exciting to see so many people finally playing games with their friends and family. We wanted to take a few minutes to share some exciting news about what’s to come and how to be more engaged in the TapTop Community.

New Games!

We can now announce that Ticket to Ride (new version), Warchest, and Avalon are all scheduled for release in the next few weeks!  In addition, we hope to release Pandemic by the end of May! :) We know these four have been high on the wishlist for a lot of you, so we can’t wait to get them out there.

Dead Giveaway and Texas Hold'Em Temporarily Removed

We've received some feedback that the Alexa integration with Dead Giveaway on TapTop is a little unintuitive, so we’ve decided to pull it from the library for now while we can work on an update that will make it a much better experience.  Likewise, it's been brought to our attention that Texas Hold'Em has significant bugs, so we've decided to give it a full overhaul and release a new version later this month.  Thanks to everyone who wrote in bug reports!

The TapTop Community

We've now delivered over 3,000 TapTops to people’s homes, and it’s been amazing to see all the positive reviews and comments.  We also recognize that TapTop still has room to grow to become the product that we first envisioned.  As a member of this exclusive club of early backers, you’re in the unique position to have your voice heard and truly influence future development of the product.  Please join us on Discord to chat directly with the community and our development team or share your experiences playing TapTop so far on our Facebook page.  We’re trying to foster these community forums into safe, open, and constructive spaces, so we just ask that you keep any comments respectful.

Support

While you can certainly ask general questions in our Discord, the best way to get support for a specific issue you’re having is to go to our Knowledge Base and Support Center.  There you can read through our support articles (we’ll be adding more soon, including patch notes!) and check out the answers in the latest AMA with our CEO, Joe Scott. :)  And, if you can’t find the answer to your question there and you’re still having issues, you can always submit a support ticket, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re able.

That's it for now.  In our next update we’ll be sharing a survey to collect feedback, so keep an eye out for that.  And in the meantime, enjoy your TapTop!
